If there was ever any doubt that properties in general are getting smaller by the year then take a look at the landing in this Manchester townhouse that was inspected last week.
The landing measured just 2ft 3inches across! How the new homeowners will get bedframes and any furniture into the bedrooms beggars belief and would be interesting to watch ! Also, the standard internal door width is 2ft 6in which meant that the bedroom doors on this floor also had to be made smaller. The architraves were also missing on the doorframes as there is simply no space to fit them and which frankly looked weird.
Hopefully we are not seeing a worrying trend.
